Safari/ Holiday Specials |
Within Southern Africa, different countries have different 'special' seasons, such as the Green Season in Botswana (generally November to April), the Emerald Season in Zambia (also generally November to April)... and although these clearly refer to the annual rainfall patterns, it means that the vegetation is lush, birding is excellent, and many species of animals are giving birth to their young. As this is also seen as ''off'' season, prices are usually greatly reduced. Peak wildlife season tends to run from July to October.
Cape Town, in contrast, enjoys its peak season from December to February - and accommodation is often more expensive, and difficult to come by, unless you book well in advance. The 'low' season in Cape Town is during the winter months, when most accommodation costs are greatly reduced. Cape Town has a winter rainfall pattern, which is the opposite to the rest of Southern Africa, but it means that you can still enjoy most of the attractions.
At any one time there are a number of excellent Safari and Holiday Special deals available to you. These are often seasonally linked, as there are sometimes surprisingly big gaps in rates between the Peak season and Green season, or Low season in each country. Depending upon your interests, budget, and dates that you have available for your African Safari or holiday, you might be pleasantly surprised as to what we can offer....
