Mandy Francis-Pope, a highly experienced Senior Travel Consultant, began her working career in the medical field, moving on to personnel management, before entering the travel industry in 1992.
Initially she worked for a Safari camp in the Okavango Delta, where she become involved with reservations, accounts, logistics, stock-taking and guest satisfaction. Mandy used this period to acquaint herself with all regions of Botswana, visiting as many camps and areas as possible. This allowed her to gain detailed knowledge of the requirements for exceptional holiday planning. She was then approached by a local Tour Operator, where she found her metier in planning trips (initially to Botswana) for guests. This led to a number of additions to her portfolio, to the rest of Southern Africa - with various travels to Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Malawi, and Mozambique. Mandy’s inspiration comes from visiting camps and lodges, which has allowed her to choose the best options for her guests, whether they are looking at a budget, a mid-range, or a 5 star holiday experience. Each guest has a unique requirement, making personalised service, speedy responses and integrity the priority. It is no exaggeration to say that Mandy’s professionalism and passion has made her many loyal Safari followers over the years, and she continues to delight guests with detailed and exceptional planned holidays (and vacations!) Mandy is presently based in Johannesburg and when not working away at planning safaris, she is an avid fitness walker, a keen gardener, loves reading, walking the dogs and following current affairs.... Janice Campbell has been involved in Tourism/ Safaris for 30 years. After taking a BSc degree in Zoology and Archaeology (Hons), she started in Tourism on a ‘temporary’ basis, on the Operational side of Safaris.
This meant planning/ overseeing overland Safaris in Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia and South Africa – in the days where there was 1 guide, 1 vehicle, no radio contact, and certainly no mobile phones! This made for some ‘interesting’ times. She then progressed onto dealing with Product – the lodges, camps, activities, flights and logistics that are involved in personalised Safari arrangements. This has allowed her unique insights into what is required to offer and arrange quality Holiday arrangements for guests. In 2011, Janice decided it might be time to start her own business, keeping it small, and personalised, with the checks and balances that are required in order to ensure smooth arrangements for guests from start to finish. Over the years Janice has amassed some incredible Safari experiences, with a love of Africa, its people, natural beauty and wildlife being fulfilled throughout Southern and East Africa. This includes visits to Madagascar, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Zanzibar, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Mozambique, Malawi, and much of South Africa… all are amongst some great memories and learning opportunities. Janice is presently based in Cape Town and when not behind a computer can be found baking cakes for Church friends, reading a book or two (or more), and looking after her family of indulged pets.. |
