2025 Guest Testimonials

Hi Mandy,
Back at JNB Airport and whilst browsing through my emails I came across your mail with the itinerary for our trip that is - sadly-ending all too soon. We had an amazing time and I fear Isabel also got bitten by the Africa bug 😉.
Wishing you and your loved ones a very merry Christmas and a good start into the new year.

Hi Mandy, I just wanted to thank you once again for helping us plan such a wonderful trip to South Africa. As J, every day was a 10 out of 10! The safari was amazing – we saw 4 leopards in the first 2 days, and several lions, including two mothers with 5 cubs. Plus of course lots more, including baby animals, which are always so adorable and really appealed to the children. They also loved the monkeys in the camp which stole food from the table, which they found hilarious.  And the staff there couldn’t have been nicer – they were so good with the children, and the food was delicious. Most of us are now home safely and J, D and family are visiting  family in Zimbabwe. J and I are still waking up at midnight or 1 am, so I think it will take awhile to get sleep re-adjusted. Now if we could just teleport there instead of the loooog flights! But definitely worth it.
I forgot to tell you that our accommodation in Cape Town was upgraded to a three bedroom. I’m not sure if that was your doing, but if so, thank you very much!
We’ll be in touch the next time we head to Africa. I hope it won’t be another 16 years.
Wishing you a very happy holiday.

Hello Mandy, I hope you are well ?
We had the most fabulous time in the delta, the area is just magical and it’s so so green. I’ve never been to the delta where there is a main channel. Honestly so gorgeous. North island is also a lovely camp. In a way very similar to Tawana's layout but Tawana is concrete rooms and not tents.
The food was delish. Best steak I’ve ever had. And the staff were incredible.  Camp was actually quite full for this time of year. Which was quite nice, but we had our own vehicle the whole time.  Will definitely be visiting again.

There were also cheetah ! The guide in his whole time working at north island has never seen cheetah and the other guide who was a community guy had never seen cheetah in his entire life, cause you supposedly don’t get them in that area.

For us, the holiday really kicked into upper gear when we set out for the Old Drift Lodge in Zim on the Zambezi. Amazing place and certainly worthy of your original recommendation from 2020. I had been to the Falls before in 2013 but on the Zambian side. Being in Zim was just so much better due to the view from the Falls Park which you don’t get from Zambia. Nothing but positive praise for the Lodge and staff and accommodation, food etc.

But the real icing on the holiday cake was arriving at Kadizora in Botswana. What an excellent and low key, high reward sort of a place. Everything was simply perfect and we will return. The game viewing anywhere else doesn’t compare with the Delta. The staff were amazing and the food was basic and simple but always tasty and filling.

One and only thing to be aware of is the room selection. We had discussed with you based on input from one of your colleagues that a luxury accommodation was not worth the extra expense when the new Standard rooms were so good. Since then the camp has changed the naming of the rooms and all are supposedly luxury. Except that is for 3 small, elderly and rather muffie tents that are due for major upgrades in December which were called Standard. We got given one of these and were sharing it on the first night with 100,000 bugs due to the holes in the walls and netting. On approaching Sadie (the manager) with our disappointment, we were immediately moved to an exceptionally wonderful new “luxury” tent with bags of space and storage. All this at no extra cost to us and absolutely no fuss. That's service and Sadie who is a wonderfully positive and smiley person has just moved in as manager from (I believe) a Hilton background will make Kadizora unbeatable.

Hi Janice,

Thanks so much for assisting us. We did get back on time. We booked an Airlink flight in the end.
The trip to Botswana was absolutely stunning and we had ridiculously great sightings.
Thanks for all your help in booking it for us. It’s very much appreciated!

Hi Mandy! L and I made it back home last night.
I just wanted to thank you for arranging such a great trip. From Cape Town to Botswana it was a trip of a lifetime. We appreciate all you did to make it happen, including last minute adjustments resulting from our flight cancellation to Cape Town.
Best regards,

 Hi Mandy.
We are back home from our Africa trip.  It is hard to come up with enough euphemisms to describe how wonderful the trip was and how great we feel!
Every little detail went off without a hitch.  From our flights to Africa, to the places we visited, the transfers, the food, the camps - all of it was perfect!
Thank you for putting this together!
If you are interested, here is one of my Facebook posts where I describe, in brief, our trip to family and friends

"Since neither J.. nor I knew much about Africa, we decided to reach out to a travel agent for help. We gave her a rough idea of what we wanted to see and how much time we had, and she put together an incredible itinerary that let us explore a mix of city life, natural wonders, and untamed wilderness. The journey started with three days in Cape Town, where we visited Table Mountain by gondola (no, we did not hike up the mountain ; ) and toured the Cape of Good Hope National Park. From there, we flew to Victoria Falls, staying at the historic Victoria Falls Hotel. We took a helicopter ride over the falls for a sweeping view and hiked the trails within the park to experience their power up close.
The adventure continued in Botswana, where we visited four safari camps. Each location was unique—starting by the Chobe River, then heading into the Savute region in southern Chobe National Park, and finally into the Okavango Delta for our last two camps. Wildlife was plentiful, and we moved between camps on small planes, landing on gravel airstrips. Days followed a rhythm: early-morning game drives, afternoons of a river cruise or relaxing, and evening drives as the sun set. We returned from every game drive exhilarated by what we experienced. Many times, we were within touching distance of big cats but resisted petting them. We were mock charged by elephants—an exhilarating and very humbling experience that gave us a deep respect for these magnificent creatures. We witnessed the circle of life in all its beauty and rawness, and saw giraffes strolling elegantly to waterholes, their long necks gracefully bending down to drink. One of our favorite moments was watching a lion family—two lionesses and six playful cubs—climbing trees, an unexpected and heartwarming sight. And yet, there was so much more. Every day brought new wonders, from awe-inspiring landscapes and sunsets to intimate views of wildlife in their natural habitat.
The camps were wonderful, with knowledgeable and friendly staff who made us feel at home. By the time we left, it felt like we’d made new friends.
Our cameras worked overtime. We still have dozens of photos to process and post, and then we will get to the video. But we did take time to put the camera down and just absorb where we were and what we were seeing.
We appreciate all of your comments. We love to share what we experienced, and hope that you are enjoying our posts."

We have so many wonder photos and memories!
Thanks again.
